Refund & Replacement Policy
At RTB Kombucha, we stand behind every can we brew. If something's off when your order arrives, we'll make it right — fast.
What we'll refund or replace
- Damaged on arrival. Cans that arrive cracked, leaking, or crushed. Send a photo within 48 hours of delivery and we'll replace or refund.
- Wrong order. We shipped the wrong flavors, wrong quantity, or the wrong person's box.
- Quality issue. The kombucha doesn't taste right, the seal is compromised, or anything else doesn't meet our standard. If it fails your standard, it fails ours.
In all three cases we'll either replace the affected cans free of charge or refund your purchase — your call.
What we can't take back
Because kombucha is a perishable, fermented beverage, we can't accept returns of:
- Opened cans. Once the seal is broken, we can't guarantee what's inside. This is food safety law, not policy.
- Cans stored outside recommended conditions. Kombucha needs cold storage. If cans have been left at room temperature for extended periods after delivery, we can't verify product integrity.
- Gift cards or promotional items.
We also can't accept returns on sale items unless they fall under the damage/wrong-order/quality categories above.
How to start a refund or replacement
Email rtb.ca@outlook.com within 7 days of delivery with:
- Your order number
- A clear photo of the damaged, incorrect, or problem product
- A short description of what's wrong
We'll reply within one business day with next steps. If approved, refunds are issued to your original payment method within 10 business days. Banks may take an additional few days to post the refund — please allow up to 15 business days before following up. If more than 15 business days have passed, email us again at rtb.ca@outlook.com and we'll chase it with the processor.
Return shipping
In most cases a photo is enough — we won't ask you to ship cans back. If a physical return is required, we cover the shipping and email you a prepaid label. Items sent back without first contacting us won't be accepted.
European Union 14-day cooling-off period
Note: RTB Kombucha currently ships within Canada only. This section applies once we begin shipping internationally.
If your order is shipped into the European Union, you may cancel or return within 14 days of receipt for any reason. The cans must be unopened, in their original packaging, and in the same condition as received. You'll need the receipt or proof of purchase.
